Being new to using storage, we couldn't have chosen a better company, the whole process was smoothly carried out, from our first visit through to moving our items into the storage unit.. Shane explained everything in detail in a; calm, professional and customer focused manner.From the our first visit to see the storage unit, we were at ease about using Shurgard for our storage needs and confident that our stored items would be secure and well protected.
Dishonest business that failed to substantiate significant price rises for longer term storage.Price rise of 16% at the end of year 1 and a further 15% at the end of year 2. On first year rise I wrote to customer services twice before I got a response attributed to "increase in operational costs" and the second year I again wrote again before emptying my locker and going for a substantially cheaper option also on Molly Millars Lane.The facility was as expected with the exception of missing fly/moth pest control - a number of moths were found in my locker - others I looked at had a more obvious fly/ moth pest control in place. Otherwise the setup of Shurguard Wokingham is as expected.I feel as a longer term user, who was out the country I was taken advantage of as their occupancy increased and this not being proportionate to their actual increased costs - I suspect as lockers empty they wouldn't in turn drop their prices to existing users. A several percentage price increase would have been agreeable however 16% and 15% after 12 and 24 months is outrageous. I also logged a complaint with BBC's Watchdog on the same.I am no longer using Shurguard and would not recommend them for expat/long term storage.
