I go there for as open mic. The place is good and staff friendly. Beer is good. On the night I was there, the landlord sang the last song!
Perfect when visiting relatives
A very friendly local pub with a hotel attached. The landlord and landlady are very friendly and helpful, the rooms are a good size, basic but everything you need. The WiFi is a little annoying, depending on which room you get depends if you can pick up a signal. The hotel is very well located for Wokingham train station and just a 30 minute flat walk from the town centre where there are plenty of decent restaurants and bars.
Only one beer on tap, food hit and miss: breakfast eggs werent well cooked, dinner was average. Coffee was not nice at all. Too many TV screens in dining area, lacking in ambiance. All lights on or off in the rooms, one switch didnt work. Bathroom taps difficult to get to (too close to the sink and should be replaced with mixer taps anyway!).
A great find. Good quality accommodation at a reasonable price. Friendly welcome and will be back.
